Toropoint Leadership Team

Rudy Bethea – CEO, Co-Chairman and Managing Member

Mr. Bethea is CEO, Co-Chairman and Managing Member of Toropoint Financial Holdings LLC (“Toropoint Holdings”), parent company of Toropoint Financial, LLC (“Toropoint”). He is an insurance industry veteran with decades of both corporate and entrepreneurial experience. He provides executive leadership for Toropoint and other portfolio companies.


Having started his career at MetLife, followed by roles at Goldman Sachs and LPL Financial, Mr. Bethea has become a respected voice in the insurance industry. He received his BA from Bowdoin College and his MBA from the University of Southern California.

Corey M. Baylor – Co-Chairman and Managing Member

Corey M. Baylor serves as Co-Chairman and Managing Member of Toropoint Holdings. He brings extensive investment experience to Toropoint leading governance, strategic growth strategies, and corporate development initiatives. Mr. Baylor leads strategic acquisition and organic growth strategies for Toropoint working closely with the management team to progress institutional development, management augmentation, capital allocation and acquisition integration.


Mr. Baylor founded HBx Capital Management LLC in 2022 and serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. HBx Capital Management is a New York based private equity firm that sponsors investment vehicles focused on providing growth capital for industry leading companies. The firm invests financial capital and strategic resources in partnership with executive management leadership and entrepreneur shareholders as a catalyst to develop institutional scale and accelerate value creation. Mr. Baylor serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Offer and Managing Partner of its investment vehicles. Mr. Baylor received a BBA in Accounting from Howard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Toropoint Management Team

Rudy Bethea – Chief Executive Officer

In addition to serving as Co-Chairman and Managing Member of Toropoint Holdings, parent company of Toropoint. Mr. Bethea serves as Chief Executive Officer of Toropoint. In this capacity, Mr. Bethea provides executive leadership of the company and is responsible for managing the strategic direction of Toropoint’s current operations and growth initiatives.

Chris Marino – Business Development

Mr. Marino serves as Senior Managing Director, Business Development for Toropoint. Mr. Marino has more than 18 years of insurance experience having held various roles including VP of Sales and Marketing, wholesaling products and complex case concepts to other agents. He is responsible for helping Toropoint agents and clients extract maximum value from the Toropoint platform. This includes providing case design strategies including carrier placement and product design involving HNW estate planning, business insurance requirements for key man and buy-sell arrangements, life settlements, and premium financing support.

Artem Tkach - Operations

Mr. Tkach serves as the Director, Operations at Toropoint and has more than 11 years of experience in operations management in the financial and insurance sectors. Mr. Tkach began his career in the financial planning and insurance management sectors, and also has diversified experience in managing operations for the hospitality and services industries. Mr. Tkach and his team are responsible for achieving optimal operational efficiency for Toropoint’s clients and partners.

Meg Canino - Operations

Ms. Canino is a crucial resource to Toropoint and serves as the Client Communication Lead, delivering on the promise to meet and exceed customer expectations. She works directly with agents, carriers, vendors, and insureds to quickly and efficiently address their needs - she leads the coordination between these parties. Ms. Canino also assists in managing internal data and reporting, while providing organizational structure and support to daily operations and case management tasks.

Franz Patrick Reyes - Operations

Mr. Reyes serves as the Case and Operations Lead for Toropoint, serving in this capacity since July 2021. He provides detailed and timely administrative support to Toropoint’s daily workflow and maintains business relationships with all of our key vendors, partners, and resources internally and externally. Mr. Reyes has a background in administrative and project management, as well as experience working in operations with engineering firms.
